annegeluna's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- behind the glass The month of October, in honor of Halloween, we watch only horror films. We go to the horror film fest at the Roxie to see new foreign horror films, visit our local movie rental place and rent films or we watch the classic films that we have in our collection (The Exorcist) or we find on tv (Rosemary's Baby). It's all horror all month! Well, last night we found the video store with the best horror section ever: lots of b-movie films we never even knew existed like Jack-O, sequels to films we never knew existed like Psycho Cop 2 (badge no. 666, of course) and some of our favories like all 3 Stepfather films. Some of the covers are hilarious! So, in October make a trip down to Mega Video in Oakland near the Parkway Theater and have your own horror film fest. And the Parkway rocks! We saw Hell Boy there last night, which was a cool film and we had pizza, beer and popcorn, too. Gotta love a theater that offers beer! This morning has been very relaxing. I took a stroll down to buy milk for our coffee and to a bakery to buy fresh pasteries. Then we had a little time out on the front porch with Madge and now some quiet time inside on the laptop listening to Baraka. We're off to the hardware store to purchase some tools for gardening tomorrow, dropping off the car for some much needed repairs and then going to the Park Street Festival with some friends. If I were running for president part of my platform would be redesigning the typical work week. It would go like this: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, rinse and repeat. Just Friday, Saturday and Sunday sounds good but without the Monday one might not appreciate the Friday as much!
